Marvel buys DC Comics in 1984

So basically my question is, what if Marvel had gone through with this deal? How would this affect comics and pop culture in general?

Uh, they weren't going to buy DC. The deal was that Marvel was going to license their character, much like Marvel started doing in mid-70's, from Warner Communications.They wouldn't actually own the characters.

Point taken, not knowing business lingo I misunderstood, especially because of something shooter said.

I think it’s safe to say that when you’re being sued under anti-trust laws, it’s a bad time to devour your largest competitor.

I mistook devour as meaning well, you know. Still the general question stands. If this had gone through, how would it affect pop culture?
