Interesting POD: Tsar and family die in Borki Train Wreck

In 1888, the Tsar and his family were in a major train wreck, in which many died. Supposedly, the Tsar himself held up part of the wreckage so his family could escape.
There's a host of POD's depending on who dies and who lives, and who, if anyone, is credited or blamed for the survival or non-survival of the royal family.
If the royal family is wiped out, this can have repercussions on everything from Russian and world affairs to rail safety.
Realistically, anyone and everyone involved in the wreck is eligible for a coffin. The train could easily catch fire, or the Tsar's coach could be utterly crushed. From the pictures, it looks like the cars were metal, but even if they were, they can telescope, killing everyone inside.
Not anything I could run with myself, but it seemed like it has a LOT of potential for an alternate Great War POD.

If the entire royal family is killed, who's next in line to the throne in this period? TThe fight over that alone could start a civil war if there isn't a clear designated survivor (or the designated survivor is unpopular).

Yes, and AIII, after Vladimir did not bother to return to Russia from Paris, commented that if he had died with his children, Vladimir would have rushed to return to Russia to become Emperor.
