As Dreamers Do Part Deux

What else

Even though TBS+Paramount no longer directly owns the Hawks, Hammers or Flames, two of those teams retain time slots on TBS mainly for sentimental value.
Hammers Baseball on TBS (Since 1973) [1]
Flames Hockey on TBS (Since 1977)

[1] Hammers were known as the Braves until 1997.

The Hawks left TBS as part of the NBA's current TV deal which took effect last season. TBS+Paramount had to sell the Hawks for the Justice Department to greenlight the merger. Starting in 2008, the Hawks' regional telecasts have been carried by WHOT, which was Atlanta's former MyTV affiliate.

Other than that...

As for the future of the Doug franchise, creator Jim Jinkins has settled out of court with TBS+Paramount and The Jim Henson Company, giving both joint custody.

Henson will retain the rights to episodes that originally ran on Nickelodeon from 1991 until 1994. TBS+Paramount will keep the Post-1995 episodes and the 1999 film Doug's First Movie.

Speaking of Doug's First Movie, future Limited Run prints will have these logos at the start.

Big Kitchen Cafe
San Diego, California

October 2009 interview with SBC affiliate XETV

Judy.Forman.jpg

Judy "The Beauty" Forman
Owner of the Big Kitchen Cafe

Whoopi Goldberg, who was my dishwasher just 25 years ago, recommended my establishment to Walt, Jr. because he was, and still is, a regular at the annual Comic Con here in San Diego."

"It was around 1991 that Walt, Jr. brought Trey and Tiffany to eat here for the first time. It just so happened that it was right when the first talk began that San Diego was in the running for an NHL expansion team. The excitement here was electric since it was the son of the legendary Walt Disney that had the deep pockets to make that dream come true."

"Now all these years later, Tiffany comes here once a month with Joyce. And at the spur of the moment, she'll ask me for catering when she wants to treat her whole team to breakfast."

Notes
As of August 2023 IOTL, Ms. Forman still owns and operates the Big Kitchen.

Dear Tiffany,
Why didn't your dad try to buy the Chargers when the NFL forced Paris Hilton to sell them five years ago?

"Dad had already tried to buy the Chargers once before when they filed for bankruptcy and then-owner Bruce McNall was forced to sell the team back to the Hilton family in the mid 90's. Bruce had also been forced by the NHL to sell the Los Angeles Kings because he defaulted on a loan he used to invest in each team."

"Since the Hilton hotel conglomerate started the Chargers back in 1960, it was actually a huge shock when their second stint as the team's owners ended in such disgrace."

"But with Dad's health issues, he had to sit out of the bidding war. Hence, the sale to Casey Wasserman. Of course, Casey's grandfather Lew owned the LA Rams from about 1961 till '92 while he was head of MCA."

"But if Dad had been able to add the Chargers to the Disney sports portfolio, he would've had to let someone else take over the Sunday night TV package from Fox. At least from what Paul Tagliabue said on two occassions."

"That said, Dad had already contributed to the private half of the public/private partnerships that helped build Petco Park for the Padres and Jack in the Box Stadium for the Chargers back in 2002. Also part of the private half was the Hilton family while they still owned the Bolts. Plus Stan Kroenke who later moved the Jacksonville Jaguars to St. Louis to become the Sorcerers."

Have there been any other ideas regarding who would direct barbie
Well at one point OTL Alethea Jones was attached to direct with Anne Hathaway starring. Though I’d throw Party Jenkins in there as an option.possibly at the cost of Barbie becoming superhuman from all the jobs they’ve had.

Before I get to the update, does anybody have questions?
I hope you answer thiese questions
did amshe bush sell their thempark to palace entment(the american subciary of spain largest themepark company) instead of the blackstone group like they did otl 2009. If so will it be mentioned in the next entment news healdlines

Potential Barbie Directors...
Patty Jenkins
Greta Gerwig
Alethea Jones
Kathryn Bigelow
Lana Wachowski
Sofia Coppola
Amy Heckerling
Penelope Spheeris
Rachel Stone-Abbott

Note: Although Legendary Multimedia currently has a development deal with Disney, Rachel is still available for offers from other studios. Again, Legendary ITTL is structured similarly to how Steven Spielberg was still able to have Amblin co-produce films with other studios even after he co-founded DreamWorks IOTL.

In Phoenix, the Arizona Department of Gaming is expected to meet with TBS+Paramount and officials from the Talking Stick and Gila River casinos to discuss MGM Resorts' plans to franchise Lionshare sportsbooks to both resorts.
- The Arizona Republic

If California state gaming officials approve, Cache Creek in Yolo County, Pechanga in Riverside County and Viejas in San Diego County could become the first tribal casinos in the state to be home to Lionshare sportsbooks franchised by TBS+Paramount's MGM Resorts subsidiary.
- The Sacramento Bee

President Obama expresses concern that TBS+Paramount is pitting tribes against each other in their strategy of franchising Lionshare sportsbooks to the highest bidders nationwide.
